At the young age of four, I acknowledged my need for a Saviour.
My mom and Sunday school teacher told me about Jesus and how he
died on the cross at Calvary. But it wasn't until our pastor's
wife took me aside one night at church during an invitation when
I had raised my hand (mimicking my older sister). I vaguely remember
her asking me if I knew what sin was. I didn't know for sure, so
she tried to explain it to me. I do remember that I felt very
confused, but even then the Lord was working on my young heart.
I do not know how long it was after that, but one night I went
to bed knowing that I had done something that my mom had told me
not to do. In my mind I kept thinking…"you did something you weren't
supposed to do, that is a sin! That makes you a sinner; sinners go
to Hell!" Frightened, I ran into the living room where my mom was,
and asked her how I could be saved and Go to Heaven when I die.
Momma showed me from the Bible how I could be saved, and on her
rocking chair I knelt and accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour.
I fully believe I meant what I prayed, and that I really was saved
then. It has been a long time since that night, but nothing much
has changed. I am still on my way to Heaven!!!! Although I have
a much greater desire to serve the Lord, and have learned to trust Him completely.
Some people think that religion is a crutch. Maybe it is. I wouldn't
know…I'm not for religion. Personally, I believe religion today is
just man's opinion and they call it " religion". Most the time,
they could care less about whether people are dying and going to
hell, they're too busy justifying their sin! (Rom.10:3; 2 Tim.4:3-4)
I am a Child of God, who is trusting in Christ alone for my way to
Heaven.(Rom.10:9-10)
I also believe that only through Christ Jesus' blood we can obtain
atonement for our sins. (Hebrews 10:10,4,12) Whether you agree or
disagree, is your decision. You do not have to stand before me,
Don't think I am trying to scare you to becoming a Christian if
you aren't already. I'm just tellin' you the simple truth. If you
