Pensacola, Florida
In February of 1997, we, the Streeter family, started on our journey for the Lord. We left home and family and traveled over 3,500 miles to attend Pensacola Bible Institute in Pensacola, Florida. We arrived in early March after traveling through ice and snow from Olympia, Washington. I found work in maintenance at a local rest home and settled in until classes started in the fall. While in school I was exposed to publick ministry and street preaching for the first time and began early on to feel that the Lord was leading us in that area to minister. We have attended many activities around the south pertaining to streetpreaching, and attended streetpreaching conventions. It wasn't long before we were fairly sure that's what the Lord wanted for us. We worked towards getting our own 5th wheel travel trailer and have gotten a large pickup with crew cab for the troops in order to pull it. We are stepping out in faith, putting our feet in the water and excitedly watching the Lord work. Our family has grown while in Florida. When we arrived, it was just me, my wife Julie, our daughter Janelle, our oldest son Aaron, and our then youngest son Joshua. We have since added Abishai, our youngest son born in Florida in October 23, 2000. We have friends and neighbors that were burdened to give us enough support for two months along with 7,000 Chick tracts to take to El Paso, Texas. We prayed about it and agreed, deciding to head there as soon as our grandson was born in January and we got the truck and trailer in proper working order. We went to North Carolina to see my oldest daughter and her new baby, Jared and with that we headed out into the future.
